Nina and Joe are the kind of chic yet bohemian couple that love to go on outdoor adventures. We collected an array of modern, natural elements to reflect their authenticity and open-air vibe.
Working with Lillian Phan, a designer/planner and sister of the bride, we arranged potted ferns at the entrance of the wedding aisle to welcome guests into the ceremony. Nina walked down the aisle carrying an easy-going yet glamorous bouquet of King protea, garden roses, and perfectly placed ferns. The couple said “I do” in front of a curtain of delicate green ferns, which later became a custom backdrop for the bridal party.
Magic blossomed during the reception, which took place beneath a clear tent. Fragrant bouquets of white hyacinth, white stock, and mint clustered in distressed glassware vases on the head table, filling the air with fresh and invigorating scent. Blushing bride protea and compote garden roses gave the round guest tables with a sophisticated boho look.
Highlights of the day included Nina and Joe making their entrance in a matte black, ultra-cool vintage Mercedes with cascading florals along the back window and bumper. Toby, the couple’s golden retriever, served as ring bearer and wore a floral collar to mark the occasion. Finally, we accented the custom donut bar with mini potted ferns. Each moment was spectacular—as if Mother Nature herself was wishing the newlyweds good luck and joy on their journey.
